I'm going to be building a new computer for gaming, and I'm going to buy all my parts from Newegg.

So far this is it:
THERMALTAKE Tsunami Case(2x120mm fans)
MSI K8N Neo4 Platinum SLI
AMD Athlon 64 3000(939)
Antec True430 ATX 430W PSU
Thermaltake Venus(to overclock my cpu)
2x512 Dual Channel Kingston Value RAM
Maxtor Ultra Series 80GB SATA150
LG IDE CD/DVD-RW Combo Drive
Hi-val Floppy Drive
MSI 6600GT 128MB PCI-E

I'm planning on staying with the onboard audio(Creative sound Blaster Live 24-bit H/W audio)...and getting another MSI 6600GT(SLI mode) when I need it....good so far?

I was thinking of getting the Kingston HyperX for 164 dollars but it seems to expensive for RAM...any suggestions?

for high performance ram its cheap. but i dont know much about the high performance ram. look at some OCZ, Corsair, and Patriot brand ram

1.) your are only using one gfx card, why are you getting SLI??? also, the DFI lanparty ultra-d is much better than the MSI at overclocking (~135)
2.) eVGA 6600gt pci-e >> MSI 6600gt pci-e
3.) kingston value ram is the worst ram ever; don't ever get it (go for the kingston hyperX's at www.outpost.com for only $99 after rebate [outpost = fry's, you can trust them]
4.) you need a 24 pin psu for more stability, risking it with that antec 20pin isn't worth it; get an OCZ modstream 450W
5.) zalman 7700-cu is a much better cooler
6.)if you actually want good OCing ram, you gotta look at the OCZ plat. Rev2's at only $185 or so; CH-5's from the hyperx's aren't as good with AMD

I'm getting the SLI for the future...when my gfx can't handle the games...i'll buy a second one...I've been using MSI for awhile and there products are good

plus a MSI gfx and a mb fit good with each other...and my friend uses the same heatsink and cpu he got his from 1.8 to 2.5(could go higher but he's very cautious about ocing)

I just want to know why you think that Kingston Value ram is the wost ram ever?

Did you mean just for OCing, or just stay away in any case.
