lately when i have been overclocking i have been trying to get it as high as i can in about 30 minutes or maybe a little more. after doing this my system because unstable in Prime95, but i had gotten it at the same settings before and it was stable. but that was when i was just starting to OC, for example i had it at 2.2GHz for a week once i started, and raised it to 2.4 and it was stable. but then for a while i put it back stock, raised it to 2.2 and then within a few mins back up to 2.4 and it wasnt stable. would a good technique for overclocking be to wait a while before stepping the FSB too much?

just a few minutes ago i went from 2.1 to 2.2 and i plan on keeping it at 2.2 for a day or so. and then i will raise to 2.3 and then 2.4 and keep it at 2.4 for a day or two. then i will raise to 2.5 and wait for a day or two, 2.55, day or two, and then 2.6 etc..

would this yield more stable results than if i were to just jack it up to 2.6 in about 30 min?

thx
