The nvidia seems pretty crappy being that a 6800Ultra has 35gb/sec bandwidth and this new card only has 38gb compared to the R520 having 57gb/sec bandwidth? That doesn't seem right and considering the 'elusive' nature of information regarding the G70 cards and their claims of double the performance that seems reall lacking.

Single card requires min. 400W PSU with 12V rating of 26A
Damn, I got a 560w with 22a rating lol....that's insane

Those specs make the R520 look like a monster compared to G70, gonna have to wait until they come out, but damn it seems like ATI went way out on that one, if that's all true then nvidia has some serious catching up to do in the single card solution area and need to quit freakin focusing on that stupid ass SLI

430/1400 nvidia vs 700/1800 ATi

i'm just waiting for the 7800GTx to lose to the R520 core ATi

just imagine the look on the ati fanboy's face when the underdog kicks ATI's ass :D

it's possible..

hell no, SLI sucks ass, if these current specs are in any shape or form true, I'll be moving ATI. Course one dude at xtremesystems says:

The specs for memory bandwidth are way out, 1400MHz is actually 44+ GB/sec and not 38.4 ......

Regards

Andy
even if that's true the R520 has 57gb/sec

Keep in mind that the r520 specifications aren't confirmed (not even sure about that G70 source either though) and there have been many different rumours spreading around so don't consider that realistic. The r520 specs I've listed are the ones that are most commonly floating around the web (and the originals I believe) so don't take them as realistic as ATI hasn't said anything regarding the fudo.

yeah, but man those are huge differences in just rumored specs lol........

That sucks it says 400w PSU and I got 560w, but my 12v line is 4a too small.....man what a freakin power hog, so if I wanted that thing I'd have to get a whole new damn PSU, and I can't sell this PSU because I've cut wires on it haha

Hmm, that is disapointing, but who knows. Either way, I would have no problems switching to ATI if they do indeed kick ass. But also, I doubt I will be buying this generation anyways...
