burn cd from command line xp

i picked up instructions from http://www.dimensional.com/~sitaram/CD-R-for-CLUEd-in-Windows-users.html on how to burn a cd from the command line using xp. I ran through the instructions just fine but when i got a directory listing from the final cd, the old data that should have been erased was still there. I tried to erase the data again but it still did not erase, see attached gif.

If that's a CD-RW just try a CD-R

i need it to be a cd-rw. i'm trying to create a backup procedure for one of my users. I created a batch file that copies certain directories, then zips those files. Next, I want to erase the cd-rw and then write the new zip file.

Oh, does the drive support the Mount Rainer standard? It looks like your trying to use "easy write" basicly.
