Medion Akoya EX

IÂ’m looking to buy a notebook computer for college this fall. I really donÂ’t want to pay over $1600 and want something relatively mobile. IÂ’d really like a Centrino over 1.5 GHz, 512MB of RAM, and at least a 60GB HD. I was looking at the HP Pavilion dv1000 series, but wasn't impressed with how flimsy the case is. However, while I was up at Best Buy today, I saw the Medion Akoya EX that meets all of my standards for $1200. I havenÂ’t been able to find many reviews for Medions and the previous posts here didnÂ’t really help. Is there anyone out there who has a Medion and can tell me how they like it, what the customer service is like, etc.? The Akoya EX has:

Windows XP Home, SP2
Intel Pentium M 735, 1.7 GHz, 400 MHz FSB
80 GB Hard Drive
512MB DDR RAM
Intel 855GM Chipset with Extreme Graphics 2
Dual Layer DVD+-R

HP is pretty overrated, they have been slacking as to the quality of computers. I'm a big fan of Toshiba and IBM, make nice latops. I really like this one too:

It's a bit on the expensive side, but it is very nice.
