I am always looking for good ways to cool down my components in my case and I am wondering if the little heatsinks for the VRAM on a video card help much with the overall temp of the card when OCing? Also, what about the clip-on heat spreaders for RAM? Are those effective? Thanks.

well ive read sumwhere that heatspreaders can actually be worse for heat on ram. im guessing its the same for vram but my ram has them and ive havin no problems with that. so they might help but only in a v small way.

heatspreaders on system RAM is completely different than VRAM, yes some heatspreaders on RAM can actually be worse if they have a crappy thermal material between them..

For VRAM some good RAMsinks help (best way to apply is a dab of AS5 in the middle with some super glue along the edges, that way you can remove em later if you need to)

but yeah honestly RAM doesn't get that hot, nor would it effect the cooling of the rest of the card
