when ever i try and save a pic from a internet site it saves it as a bmp. file, this has changed mab in the last couple weeks, it used to save as jpeg. how do i change the bmp back to jpeg?? it might be something else then internet explorer, i was jst assuming that there a setting that changed.

When you right click on a picture and click on 'save picture as'...does it not have a .gif or .jpg option as well?
Try to right click on a picture, then choose properties. If the picture is a .jpg, then when you click on 'save picture as' that option should be in the drop down list.
