Need help on cd-rom

i need help this old computer i still have wont boot cd-roms at all and it can with one.but the bios doesnt have it in there. So is there a floppydriver that i can get that will make my cd-rom up and running or no.

Why do you need the computer to be able to boot from a cd?

im trying to get this cd-rom working. I have been trying to put linux on this old computer. But the the crap is messing up asking for floppys that i have and crap. So it would just be easier if i had the cd-rom working get my dirft.

Well, in your original post, there was something about trying to get your computer to boot from a CD. Now it is starting to sound like you are having a problem with the cd-rom itself. Either way, I know nothing about Linux so I am unable to help you from this point.
