Ok, i'm still going to try and overclock so getting back to Overclocking my Ram and timings(the timings of my Ram are in my first post of this thread, if that helps any) whats the deal? Where do i begin?

when you boot up your computer it will say press some key to enter setup

hit this key
then go into the softmenu
once there you see something that lists your slock speed and says something like stock then whe you hit that it will say eith that or user defined select user defined
once there you should be able to change the clock speed by entering numbers which raise your clock speed
this is kind of vague so if you need any help feel free to email me @ aspire.comptech@gmail.com

O.K i've decide to at least look into getting some good overclocking memory. I will be getting a new computer next year so as long as i get some good memory i can just transfer it to my new computer when i get it. Anyways can someone comment on the memory i have in the list below and tell me what would be best. Would it better for me to get 2x512 or just use my Kingston Ram and just get another 512 of ram?

1. GEIL 512MB KIT (2X256M) DDR400 CL2.5 MEMORY $135.99

2. OCZ/PREMIER DDR 400 512MB PC3200 DUAL CHANNEL KIT $99.99

3. SHIKAXRAM 512M DDR400 PC3200 MEMORY KIT BY MICRON $129.99

4. OCZ 2X256MB DDR PC3200 CAS2 W/ COPPER HEAT SPREADER OCZ400512ELDC-K $129.99

5. Geil 2 x 256 DDR400 Dual Channel Kit - PC3200 $129.99

6. Corsair 400MHz PC3200 512MB $107.99

7. Corsair 400MHz PC3200 2 x 512MB $175.99

I wouldn't get the 512 kit (2x256) if I were you. I'd get either one stick of 512, one stick of 1 GB, or two sticks of 512. Why not? There is some good GEIL ram out there that is pretty cheap right now. I found some GEIL value RAM that will follow an overclock of the FSB all the way up to 255 MHz for a total of 510 MHz. That is pretty darn good for only $90 for a gig stick... but I think it is a sale or something, because just a week or so ago it was like $190? I don't know... at least check into stuff like that.

All Canadian prices.........Where i live i'm limited to the computer store around here. The first 5 choices were from stores around wher i live, the last 2 choices were from TigerDirect.ca

BTW - so your recomending 7. Corsair 400MHz PC3200 2 x 512MB $175.99 right?
