Comp fail to boot

I have a p4 3.2 800mhz fsb with 2-500mb ddr400 memory chips.
Today it would not boot up. It checks the video card then the cpu but then just stops. It doesn't try to check the memory. No bleeps nothing. I have taken each of the memory chips out in turn but it made no difference. Help where do I go from here?

Solved it myself.......................... wife had left her apple ipod plugged in as soon as I unplugged it everything worked fine.

my sis was charging her ipod on my comp and i left it there for about 14 hours and it fcked up all my usb ports (i use an usb mouse) so i had to restart
