Fan connectors

Ok, this might sound stupid too all of you but this is my first time building a new computer. I have 4 fans in my case, each with a male and female 4 pin connector(quite large). My motherboard, K8N Neo2 has 4 fan connectors on it but they are much smaller. How does this work? How should the fans be hooked up?

Just plug the fans into the larger power cords that are available on your power supply.

Many fans just use the larger ones. Dont ask me why. Mine came with either the smaller, motherboard connector, or with the small one, and an adaptoer for the standard D connector

They use 4 pin since it's direct from the power supply and your motherboard doesnt have 20 fan headers

Ok, thnx, just opened up the sysem Im using and took a look. All makes sence now
