Here is the final list. I read up on all of the components and believe this makes the best solution for me and my budget of under $1600 with OS. I will also buy another video card and 1 GB of ram later. I have everything else.

How does this look for a first PC build. Learned everything I know in under a week. So, if someone could check to make sure I am ordering the right parts I would appreciate it, also that I didn't leave any crucial component out.

Dont want to start a flame war. But I've seen people have some seriously bad experiences with CAD and AMD. They had a 3gig northwood and because some1 reccomended to them AMD, in their next comp they put in a 3000+ .. He opened up cad and pretty much bashed the guy that reccomended an AMD for his computer, which had no games at all. The performance was about half with the amd compared to the 3.0p4.. Just in CAD, though

any psu that comes with the case is crap (except some TT and antec)

you're gonna need a new PSU with that comp, even if it means cutting back on some stuff

i suggest OCZ modstream 500W, or powerstream 500W if you plan on upgrading

Nah, he was seriously angry when he came into the shop.. He thought he'd been sold a dodgy cpu or something. For cad, I'd say stick with p4.. But eh its your computer, take advice from whoever you want

from my experience, 5 years, you need a good gaming computer for rendering and sketching. True you need a pentium workstation for the data creation. I do mostly rendering. This machine will also see games.

So the last minute recomendations are

Change the ram,
Get a better psu

alright, I am about to buy. I will probably hit send in a few hours, 8-9 pm sat. If there are any other sugg. I would appreciate it still.
