9600XT and Asus A7V8X problem

I just bought a 9600XT to put in my computer and it is posting with a colorful matrix/ kaleidoscope looking display, which is not what is usually displayed. My mobo is an Asus A7V8X Deluxe(Deluxe means it has got Sata Raid) with BIOS rev.1010 and no display drivers on, so it'll automatically make new driver adjustments. Do I change my auto settings on video card options in the bios or have to flash my bios on my mobo? Explain to me why I need to if you can do so please. But most of all... What do I do?

Well I have to say did you do a clean install of XP?

If this doesnt fix it, the card is buggered

To get it to freshly install just stick in your XP CD
