ok all heres my delema i need a new hsf for my socket 478 comp. But at the end of July im gonna upgrade to a new 939 amd so i need a hsf that will work for the one then be able to be switched to the other.

i was looking at this

http://xoxide.com/asus-star-ice-cpu-cooler.html
i saw this one for sale at svc.com's warehouse when i was picking up an order and omfg it is huge: any pictures dont do it justice
plus you can add a second fan to it

let me know what you guys think plus the blue matches my case

I have heard that the Thermalright XP-120 cools better. However I think it's bigger than the one you are looking at there.

ughh didnt really like the way it looks only one i would consider would be the blue led version in 92mm

zalman 7700cu are very good

an XP-120 would block dimm4 on an DFI lanparty (assuming you are getting that) unless you mount it a different way (forgot how you do it)

i believe that somewhere i read it said that the xp120 could be mounted in any direction ive seen the 7700cu and was not very impressed with it. I like the xp120 much better and how sick would it look with a 120mm blue led fan on it

*drool*
also my cpu is a 1.8ghz p-4 socket 478 and is oc'd to 2.2ghz
my mobo is abit's IS7-E2 for the socket 478 cpu
