Hey all, the new mobo I want is the Asus A8N SLI. On Newegg it says it supports SATAII. Anyone know if it supports just SATA? Also, how can I tell if my HD is SATA or SATAII? Thanks.

SATAII is backwards comapatiable. SATA drives will work on it. If your drive says SATA, it'll be SATA. If it says SATAII, it'll be SATAII. SATAII drvies are generally a bit more expensive. SATAII benefits include higher throughput and better speed.

Well, I read a review of PCIe and SLI mobos in PC World and the Asus came out on top. And, slightly cheaper on Newegg.
