Bit Torrent

I was using Bit Torrent constantly for weeks, then one day, it suddenly wouldn't let me download anything.

Keep getting the error:
urlopen error (7, 'getaddrinfo failed')

Tried different sites, different files, even changed my BT client - but nothing will work.
Is it possible for ISPs to prevent people downloading via bt?

I've even tried switching my firewall and AV software off, but still nothing.

Anyone got any ideas what the problem could be?

(im on XP pro, and have a cable broadband connection (NTL in the glasgow area) )

it would be better to post this question in the BT forums because this is a specfic question. i've had bad luck with BT, where are you getting the links for the files? DC++ for me is more stable.
