Suggestion for an LCD Flat Screen Monitor PLS

Can anyone recommend a good LCD monitor? People have mentioned to me the Samsung models 172x, 17" screen in either black of silver. I've checked it out at the store, but it looked fuzzy. I don't know if it was the connection they had or what, but I don't know. Also, I've seen the 174v model of Samsung also. Same as 172 from what I can tell.

Any suggestions?
