30 its trying some widnows automated recovery bugt its asking for a recovery floppy which i dont have

you cna probably download one at www.bootdisk.com but im not sure, you could probably find one though.

Just use partition magic on it :/

well thats the confussing part xp is formatting but it said the saemthing maybe xp can slap it around wish me luck

If it is only two years old it may very well be under warranty. They new standard one year warranty only started last year so check the manufacturers website and verify that. unless this was bought in a store bought machine then it will assume the warranty of that machine. but it is worth checking.

when my hard drive died, i pulled it appart. the platters were really really clean like a mirror, but cleaner (well, they're not anymore)

ive only had the computer but i got it from a friend hes had it for awhile another friend of hos built it from old parts they had .. its a rather old POS but im too poor to buy a new one
