Overclocking with the Venice

Well the 4000+ is a bit of a different story since it uses a Clawhammer core with 1MB L2 cache, so you won't find a 3500+ that was intended as a 4000+.

A chip doesn't specifically overclock in a routine based on the type, every chip is different, and will reach different speeds with different specifications. All I was pointing out was the fact that a 3200+ may be theoritically faster than another 3200+. Same goes with video cards, LE and SE cards are usually "broken" higher performance cards. A 3200+ could just be a somewhat "broken" 3500+.

the Venice I've seen tested got from 2.0GHZ to 2.8GHZ on stock cooling and stock voltage
I would say you should get at least 2.6GHZ on a Venice, even if it is a not so good one.

where did you find it anyway? I'm thinking of getting a Venice myself
I also live in Australia
