Heres my problem. I have a mail button on my navigation toolbar in Firefox. When I click it and select read mail, nothing happens. But when I click it and select new message, a mail window from thunderbird opens up for me to compose a message. When I click the mail button in internet explorer, thunderbird opens up fine. Thunderbird is my default mail program. Does anyone know why it won't open up from Firefox?

may i ask how u made it your default?
and.. im not to sure but there is an extension for thunderbird right? re install it if so. i know that isn't much help sorry but i felt atleast i could try to help... never hurts to try eh?
ill look up ur problem if this doens't fix it so post back

Try removing the mail icon by VIEW/ TOOLBARS/Customise restore default set, close firefox. Open thunderbird, got to TOOLS/OPTIONS/GENERAL and make sure the use Thunderbird as the default mail application is ticked.
Close thunderbird, open Firefox and re-add the mail icon.
