Mobo died?

So I have this Compaq Presario with a Celeron, it originally came with Windows 98. I reformatted it to Win2k and it froze at the end of the installation. I tried pushing the power button, nothing happened. So I unplugged it, and it hasn't turned on again. Nothing completely dead! I tried a new power supply but nothing, any ideas?

try clear the cmos first. compaq or hp i forget which used to do that and clearing the cmos would fix things

Ok, I tried to reset the CMOS, didn't work. I'm thinking the mobo died.

You didnt mess with the jumpers for any reason did u?
