Considering an Asus P5GDC Deluxe motherboard (see bellow) combined with an Intel Pentium 4 530J Prescott processor (see bellow as well). Looking for a budget minded PC as I'm saving up for a few other things right now. Opinions on combo as well as comments on performance and overclockability would be great. I don't need a graphics card because I don't do 3D rendering of any kind but might add one in later (6800 perhaps). Also, if you know any others of similar price or type let me know. Oh and NO AMD.

Looks solid.

The mobo has a nice feature set. It has PCI-E x16, so you're set for future upgradablity. Plenty of ATA and SATA connections.

You'll find that many hereabouts don't like Asus, but I haven't had a reason not to like them yet.

The Asus boards are great for Intel based systems. The only complaints I have seen for them is in regards to the AMD systems. Mine has been great and is packed full of features including a lot of OC options in the bios.

Either way, don't go Intel mobo for Christs sakes, they don't OC.

~Edit~ I just noticed that board supports both DDR and DDR2 memory, that's pretty crazy. I am sure you can only run one or the other, but still, it allows for a pretty good upgrade path.
