Language Support

I work in a school, where we teach German. I have recently installed Office 2003 on a German teacher's laptop. We upgraded from 2000. Since that time, she is not able to access German language support or spellcheck. It seems that Office only supports Spanish English and French. Does anyone have any insights? I need to find a work-around to avoid buying Microsoft Proofing Tools.

You could always find a German version of office....

Go to the Office website. I beleive you can install language packs from there.

I am not trying to buy any additional software.

I didn't say anything about buying additional software, did I?

Either you have a copy of Office that was not intended for the German market (which is possible since not all releases of Microsoft products are for global release)...or you need to get the language pack (free) from the Microsoft website. (The language packs may even be on the disk themselves, even if not directly available from the installation menu...though this descrepency was fixed about two years ago.)
