Leadtek 6800GT is AWESOME!

It's only been 4 days, but I couldn't resist overclocking my Leadtek 6800GT. Here are some comparison benchmarks for those who are interested. By the way, I'm using the latest 71.89 drivers.

Leadtek GeForce 6800GT @ stock speeds (350/1000):

Leadtek GeForce 6800GT @ Ultra speeds (400/1100):

The most amazing part of this whole deal is that I absolutely CANNOT get the GPU temperature above 58 C. After benchmarking all night and constantly checking, that is as high as the temp seems to want to go. I guess that huge copper heatsink is doing some good after all This is my first experience with Leadtek, and I must say, I'm very impressed.

What are you using to check the temps? I hope you know the very second you stop bench marking the thing drops 10C instantly, so if you're closing the program and quickly trying to look at it, it's not going to show you the true load temp.

You need to have Rivatuners hardware monitor open while you run the benchtest and it keeps a bar line graph of temps over the course of time so you can go back and see what it was hitting.

These are the scores I got before and after overclocking:

Stock 6800GT @ DDR400 @ 2.6GHz - 71.84 drivers - 10,880 - 3dmark03(Build 360)

401/1101 6800GT @ DDR400 @ 2.6GHz - 71.84 drivers - 12,025 - 3dmark03(Build 360)

My CPU at 2.5GHz and 400FSB and 1gb of RAM is helping out there though.

Figured you couldn't go wrong with that leadtek, they seem to have awesome coolers, so keep pushing it

Wow...its amazing that you are getting scores that high with only an Athlon XP 2500+. Your processor is really bottlenecking that card. Get an AMD 64 3200+ or higher and you will be screaming(not that you're not screaming now ). Its amazing how cheap these cards are getting as we progress towards the release of the next generation.

awesome man!! I love the 6800GT it absolutely roxers my boxers. i OC'd mine to ultra speeds and i was screamin everywhere lol. i really never had any troubles at all w/ it. BTW mine was eVGA

my BFG sits at about 58-61 degrees running at stock speed which is 370/1000. My current 3dmark2003 score is 10,860 but my cpu is creating a bottleneck as well, 533fsb = bad bad bad
