OCing, build me a machine

Dude good luck with it. Everything mentioned above is what I would pick. I guess between OC'ing you processor, vid card, and RAM, you'll have probably a blazing fast computer that should be like $5000, and you'll get it for like $1000.

I suggest getting a case with an LED temp. guage.
 
well if you want a gfx card that'll actually reach records people care about, you're gonna have to get a 6800gt or ultra (and that's just one, the biggest records are with SLI)
 
Yeah, SLI, with a $400 card... Ouch. That would be hot though, no pun intended.

Now to a question: For the people who get their systems down to -100F and whatnot, extraordinaryily cold, wouldnt that seem detrimental at that point?I mean, I know there is such a thing as too cold. Then I was thinking, that board would become cold and brittle. And the cards that weigh like 5lb a peice (The 6800) hanging on that little slot, wouldnt it be rather prone to snapping off?

In short: Too cold = bad?
