my laptop is dead

yo, i navigated to c:, which is as far up as i could get. so the command thingy looked like this: "C:\>"

and then i selected a random thing on c, a folder named "dreamsnes" and typed "copy dreamsnes [e:]"
and it said "access is denied." ?
