When i started my computer today, all of a sudden, no matter what im doing, even just sitting on the desktop will skip, the mouse shortly locks up but quickly recovers, and it happens in 3-5 sec intervals, if i have music playing, the music will lock up at the same time, and for the same ammount of time as the mouse, any ideas what the problem may be?

Some sort of malware or Spyware, I imagine. Riun a plethora of utilities, Spybot, AMD, Microsoft Antispyware, etc...

If need be, run HijackThis! and post the log.

i hope this is what you needed, and what were you referring to when you told me to run AMD?

Press CTRL-ALT-DELETE and use the peformance graph to see if your CPU is being 100% utilized during these jumps.

You need the graph as task manager wont update in a jump most likely.

I get the same thing happening, when im burning DVD's, browsing tech-forums and listening to music :)

I honestly dont know what I meant when I told you to run AMD. I was *ahem* in an altered state I believe. I beleive I meant adaware but AMD came out for some reason.

And there are no shady looking processes runnig either, so thats good.

Well, for about 4-5 hours yesterday, i rebooted and my computer was running fine, just like it normally would. But i woke up this morning and turned it on and its back to the skipping again :(. Ill keep running some checks and scans and see if i can fix this though.
