I've been of the technology front for a while and have read up on it the last few days and put this together. Could you please tell me if my choices are good and what I could change. It is aimed mainly at a gaming machine but I will be doing a lot of work on it too, CAD and PS, with some video editing.

You may want to reconsider getting XFX, as unless you are going to get some liquid nitrogen and overclock the hell out of it, than it is not worth risking the wait for getting replacements as they often are DOA (luckily mine wasn't, but if I knew about them having a reputation about being DOA I would of got Leadtek instead.)

I personally don't like TFT, I would prefer a crt, but tft's are fine though, I also see you are getting it from ocuk, which I would also recomend buying from - Thanks for showing me the Venice cores and san dieago are now pre ordeer there - not a huge difference in price compared to the winnis :p

It seeems good though.

I am not sure about the monitor...if u are really into gaming, and u don't want CRT, whatever monitor u gte should be no higher than a 12ms framerate or it may ghost

Nope, 16 is fine. The eye cant see any difference between 12 and 16. 16 and below will NOT ghost. however, 25 will.

16ms is pretty fast 12ms gets expensive

also I agree that XFX is not very good. get a BFG or eVGA card

you won't be disappointed with the Venice core CPU, it will give nice overclocks
