Second Monitor and burn in

Nah, I think burn in is still with us, unfortunately. It just takes many hours to (I heard 6 for a TV) to set in. But thanks for the reassurance Him.

No, I'm sorry, but burn in is no longer with us. Have you ever had a monitor burn in on you? I havent. My monitors are aLAWYS on, and never burn in. however, exactly as you said, they are flashy and look cool. They USED to serve a purpose, but now they are just used because of nostalgia purposes and look cool.

Hell our school's pre95 monitors barely burned in from a week

I always leave my 98 sony and early 1990's dell monitors on for 6+ hours same image, no burn in.

You dont need to worry about burn in anymore. That was with old monitors. As technology evolved, the burn in problem left. Newer monitors you dont need to worry about that at all.

not true. it just take a whole lot longer for them to burn in than old moniters. months and years instead of weeks
