I'll look into it, but i though dvd shrink takes the dvd and copys it for you, not giving out files like dvd decrypter.

I'll try it, and see what happens.

Alright, thanks, I'll give it a try.

I tried it and i still get the video files with quiet audio. I am going to do a reformat this next week, maybe that will fix it. Thanks for the help.

Same thing. Rip is just a more technical, and illegal, term.

ripping a disc saves the data from the disc to the HD

from http://www.webopedia.com/TERM/R/ripper.html

ripper

A software program that "grabs" digital audio from a compact disc and transfers it to a computer's hard drive. The integrity of the data is preserved because the signal does not pass through the computer's sound card and does not need to be converted to an analog format. The digital-to-digital transfer creates a WAV file that can then be converted into an MP3 file.

To rip is to move the data from the compact disc to the hard drive.

I've had no problems decrypting with dvddecrypter 2.5 and then using dvdshrink 3.2 (max smoothness) to put on a disc. It's gotta be the best "actually free" software I've gotten.

Ahh, but to rip is illegal. To copy is not. :)

Kinda like all pipes in head shops, "for tobacco use only";)
