Can i make my Fx-53 a 55

when i built this thing i tried as hard as i could to find a 55 but i only could find ones where i had to wait about a 5 mounths to get so i was wondering if i could oc my 53 and make it a 55

5 Months to wait, where you from? It would be very simple to OC a 53 past 55 speeds...hell all you need is an 200mhz OC.

Yep, very easy. I would try getting it stable at 2.8ghz. You'll need some nice cooling for that though. At 2.8ghz, you'll crush processors.

Really depends on the luck and stepping of your chip if you want to get it to 2.8Ghz.

You should be able to get it to 2.6Ghz on the stock cooler easy with your chip witch will be on par with an real FX55.
As for flashing it there is no way to do it.

Just change your multiplier from 12 to 13 and you got an actual FX-55

yea i already knew that but yea putting the multiplyer to 13 would easily do it.

the 200mhz doesn't really even matter

it's not like fx-55 speeds are required for current games

It's nice however, your notice the difference between your 3200+ and a fx-55 nicely.

Hell if we had only what we needed, we would all be running around naked (oh wait, I already am) and we wouldnt have PC's and we would live in caves.
