Windows Messenger keeps on coming back

i don't use windows messenger at all so i took it off the start up on msconfig. Everything went well until windows update I did not notice that it was windows messenger patch so now it comes back on start up.I uncheck it, i restart it does not load, but it rechecks itself so it loads next time. I do not want it loading help.

Uninstall it from add/remove windows components.

Go to Run and type in services.msc

Scroll down and find 'Messenger', right click on it, and go to 'Stop'.

there a group policy setting to disallow win messenger to run in xp. i think its computer config>admin templates>windows componets>windows messenger>do not allow win messenger to run, set this to enabled and reboot.

the win messenger disable in the link above that I posted hides meesenger from outlook express so it won't reinstall it when you launch outlook express
