I have also suggested this topic before. Having this topic would encourage the addition of new, network-experienced members. This could also increase the respect in this entire forum.

I, myself, am very experienced and very knowledgable with networking. Been through books, many classes (Cisco Acad, etc.) and have been working in the field for quite some time.

A networking topic can also produce some negative aspects though. This is, in my opinion, the most popular, technology-driven topic of today. Companies, ESPECIALLY M$, have made some aspects of networking entirely too easy for the end-user. This encourages the ideas, sales and production of networking technologies but in-turn looses the gaining interest of why and how this technology really works....from the physical medium all the way through to the application using it. And, also how to make it better. I've seen some forums go down the tubes due to incorrectly posted information and/or solutions. I'm not saying this one would cause there are a lot of bright minds in here.
I would personally love to see it happen and would offer any knowledge that I could, but it would also need a STRONG mod as well.
My 2 cents......
