help with playing svcd

where can i find a good program 2 run a super vcd i need it 4 windows 98 and do u need a dvd drive 2 play them or is there a program that lets u play them with out 1

You dont need a DVD drive because SVCD's are burnt onto regular CD's.

You can play them in Windows Media Player, but you will need a MPEG2 Codec. Do a google search for "Elecard MPEG2"

As for me, I also use the Moonlight-Elecard MPEG-2 Video Decoder for this purposes. Its high quality playback suits me completely and it's more stable than the other codecs.
