uhh yeah that one can do a little more than solitare and has a bigger screen then the one i posted before and its still pretty damn cheap

nothing beats toshiba. i have a toshiba satellite A70 which i got for 1300 CANADIAN which is like a little over 1000us, itsa p4 2.8, 512mb ram, cdrw/dvd rom, ati radeon 9000, 15.4" widescreen...

Basically what I was looking for was to play CSS, I probably will end up stop playing games as avidly as I do now after a few years, so the video card would not be needed to upgrade. I would probably just end up buying a desktop after a while. Thanks for all the input.

I'd say the Apple iBook or Powerbook, but that would be waaay outta your budget, and it wouldn't fit your needs.

Which ever way you go.Do research on resale and go with some thing that will hold its valueand has a good service record.A good warranty is always a plus.Laptops can be like a magnrt for calamity..........................regards
