Microsoft Office Problems

Hello again,

i just installed Office 2003 and everytime i open a .doc i get a bar on the right hand side, it used to have sumthin about windows but i disabled it from connecting. The taskpane is still there and i cannot get rid of it. here is a pic of what im talking about.

i have tried everything. please help

Mine does that aswell, its part of Word. I dont know if you can turn it off

wow, this bl0ws. It never used to do this in 2000/2002 edition of word. i hope they disable this in the future cuz it is/can get very annoying

you can close it easily by cliking this....

You can close it forever, there's a setting somewhere. The very first time I closed it I think it gave me the option of permenantly removing it.

yeah, when I installed office and ran Word, there was an option to "never show on startup"

try and look around in the menus for options

found it: tools > options > view (you should already be there) and at the top it should have "startup task pane"
uncheck that
