Well, I've gotten around to using DC++ again but I STILL have an annoying problem where I can't connect to other users or search. I've set up my firewall, router and DC++ settings to use the 8030 port but it STILL won't work. I've gone over them many times but it still doesn't work. My ip address is right, I've tried the port triggering thing. Should I use a different port or should I just give up on DC++???

u have to be in 'active' mode. in connection settings. with the ports specified.

and your IP has to be your Routers WAN ip, not your pc's Lan ip.

and some servers may require u have a specific size shared b4 u can connect.

id only forwarded ports threw my router, didnt need port triggering. but u may wont to disable your firewall and try just to check if its your firewall.

if your on for example a college network. many p2p ap ports are blocked.

try changing it to a different port to try and fool it. example - port 80
