FAT32 vs NTFS

FAT32 is faster on small partitions. Use NTFS. It's better. More features and large file support. FAT32 is limited to 4GB files.

Yeah, so if you have a movie that's about 10 giga-bytes [that's how much mine are], you won't be able to put in on a FAT32

NTFS tries to keep its files unfragmented
NTFS by default has small cluster sizes (512 bytes) so there is not much waste of space when a file doesn't use all the cluster's space

Like apokalipse says, the cluster size with NTFS is a standarn 512 bytes, which you can change, however, to be larger. This allows less disk-waste, and also will be _slower_ with the smaller cluster sizes, but nothing that you'd notice. (slower b/c more clusters)
