What is the cheapest PC you can build, just suitable for Office and Internet use.......... nothing flash.......... but must be reliable.

Suggestions please. (And I can't believe no-one has posted this subjest before, but I can 't find any other posts about it.)

i'm guessing something like xp2000+/abit mobo/512 ram/80 gig hard drive/9250/tt td-420
 
about the same as a 6600gt.

Hey! Don't nobody be knocking my Athlon XP. It's a sweet CPU, even if it is being phased out.
 
There is nothing wrong with going slow speed components if all you want is word processing and internet. I just wouldn't skimp on the brands if you want something reliable.

My suggestion is to look at quality parts, but ones now a year or two old. That will give you a reliable but affordable computer.
