Well not if you now have two partitions but only want one. You will want to fdisk and delete both partitions. Create one new partition. Format that partition and install windows.
I can't remember if the xp cd can delete/create partitions or not. If so, that's all you'll need. If not, you'll want one of those boot disks mentioned and use fdisk under the command promt. If you google fdisk youll find all the instructions you need.
