none of those are the best. If you want top knotch OC'ing then you want

G.Skill LA's (very expensive at about $300)
OCZ Platinum Rev 2 (about $275)
Patriot XBL (about $225)
PQI Turbos (also about $225 I believe)

Those will OC way better than any of the ones you listed up there although mushkin is generally a good OC'er they tend to require a lot of voltage through them

BTW: The above prices are for 1gb

Honestly why dont you go with 2x 512 meg of ram?

i'm not sure if my motherboard supports dual channel. i couldn't find anyplace that either confirmed or denied that in the manual.

If it is socket 754 which I think it is it does NOT support dual channel. That doesn't mean though you couldn't run 512x2 rather than 1gx1

oh and one more thing: other than corsair and mushkin, what other cost efficient brands are good at overclocking? how about OCZ and PQI?

Did you just completely ignore my post or what?

Both OCZ and PQI are listed there and as I said are the top OC'ers, those are for 1gb so for that cheaper range just get 2x256 then.

TwinMOS has 1gb for $108 and can OC like beasts, but again it will require generaly 3.2+v dimm to get them nice and high
