"Windows......Evaluation copy. build....." text

Does anyone know how to remove the text you get at the bottom right on a windows trial version?

something like;

Windows Server 2003, Enerprise Edition
Evaluation copy, Build xxxx

or

Windows XP Professional
Evaluation copy, Build xxxx

Use Regedt32 to navigate to:

HKEY_CURRENT_USERS\Control Panel\Desktop

Edit or Add Value name PaintDesktopVersion, as a type REG_DWORD. A data value of 0 disables the display and a data value of 1 enables it.

Logoff/Logon to activate the change

That didnt work when i had xp on there you had to go deep into the classes key... cant remember which tho sorry theres bound to be a website on it

if it is a trial version it wouldn't matter after you use it
