Which is best (Value/performance wise)

Hey,

When i bought the PC new in Jan, the specs were as follows...

AMD Athlon64 3200+
160GB Western Digital HDD
Lite-on DVD/RW
512mb of ram DDR400Mhz
nVidia FX5500 128mb
400 Watt PSU

Since then i have added a sound card and another 512mb (400mhz) of ram, bringing it to 1GB of ram...

I really have no idea what mother board i have. I dont want to buy a gfx card that i cant use to its full potential...

All i know about my mobo is it has...

3 X PCI
1 X AGP slot
2 X Ram Slots

If you go to www.cpuid.com and download CPU-Z, that will give you enough info on your mobo to make a choice.

That 6600GT will be great in your system. It is a HUGE jump over the 5500 you have now.
