another nvsilencer 5 question

it has these little purple pads in order to reach the memory and touch, can I still apply as5 on teh memory with these pads?

1. I told you you probably need to remove those unless they feel like a waxy thermal pad or tape like thing.

2. If you aren't supposed to remove it you never put thermal compound on existing thermal tape or pads

well that's not good, I suppose I have to redo this then.. I don't think you're suppost to remove them becuase when I did.. the copper wouldn't even touch the memory.. so I guess I just need to remove the paste. Only thing is, it's hard to completely remove the pate off those little pads, they're annoying lol

I did it on one, temps didn't change or anything.. or do the drivers only represent the actual gpu temp heh.. I feel like this nvsilencer only increased temps =/

if my temps are ok in the drivers for now, that paste+pad isn't ruining anything right? Going to remove it later
