Also, as a temporary measure i know someone whom i can buy a AMD XP 3200 CPU from at a cheap price (temporary until i have my full amount of $$££ to spend)

What sort of performance boost would be seen when upgrading from a AMD XP 2800? I don't need it to be an amazing increase but would it be noticeable? (in gaming, 3d moddelling)
