Video Card

I just installed a new graphics card (ATI Radeon 9800 Pro) and for some reason it seems to be causing me problems. My computer shuts down randomly or crashes when I play games. The most recent error report I received was
Error Message: STOP 0x000000EA THREAD_STUCK_IN_DEVICE_DRIVER (Q293078)

Can anyone help me?
I have all the latest drivers. Im thinking maybe an update of the bios?
No conflicts seem to be occuring either.

WinXp Home Edition
P4 1.8
512 mb DDR SDRAM
Sound Blaster Live 5.1 Platinum
Asus P4S8x mobo
I also updated the AGP drivers before I installed the card.

what brand/name are the video card and Mobo?
the error message says there is something wrong with the drivers, can you boot up? if yes try changing the drivers

Did the "Latest driver" come from the Install CD or the Website?
