Format it about now, and it shouldn't happen, when was the last time you DID format it?

This pen drive is great. At college I use it a lot, transfering data files form the lab, to my pc, and to print stuff off. Its better than a zip disk or a floppy.

Its working thus far, strangest thing I have seen. I hope it doesnt happen again.

yea how about just a normal flash drive and have a pen completly seperate. those 2 things shouldnt go together.

if you cant re-partition it, see if you can get some sort of zero-fill tools.

Also, if that fails, get a magnet!

USB drives don't use spindles......they use light to write data to the drive, A magnet wouldn't work!

A USB drive uses flash memory, thus it isn't magnetic media but even so I wouldn't stick a magnet up to it.
