keyboard & mouse

i need a new set of kb/mouse for my new comp

keyboard-
cheap/multimedia/trusted company (i.e. m$ or logitech)
mouse-
optical/usb preferred/cheap

any suggestions? i really don't wanna spend a lot here

I just bought this mouse a few days ago:

And it freakin rocks, nice and cheap and smooth as hell. Don't know why you want USB mouse though they suck, PS/2 is much better and more reliable IMO.

Anyway it's a good damn mouse.....sorry don't have any keyboard suggestions

Yeah I said it was a PS/2 mouse which is MUCH better than USB so I don't know why you'd do that barf crap. USBs suck

How is USB better? Real easy to turn the question around.

in my experience with USB mice they feel 'laggy' compared to even this cheap ass $8 mouse that's PS/2 which responds immediately and smoothly to movements. Photoshop when trying to do minute movements is where you notice it the most
