Dont worry about it. That machine should run perfect. My advice to you in the future is to read reviews before you buy something. Dont ever read reviews about something you already bought, it will make you go insane.

Wow NJRonbo, thats around the same price i built mine for. Your system is amoung the best. Although i dont know alot about the new 840's, which i will soon enough. Alienware is a good company to spend your money with. But again, they want the loot. Just like any other company. I built my own computers, because you have unlimted options. You dont pick from a list of 3 options. Overall, i like to be in complete control, and do things myself.

Just dont be fooled by Alienware, which most people are. This goes for any Brand name computer. Brand name computer company's do anything to make their computers sound the best. But in reality, they all have the same hardware. Ever brand carry's modern technology. Another big thing, is that all computers are built the same way. Im not talking about how dell configures there computers, so you cant upgrade. Yes thats a true statement, they customize their computers that way. Other brands do also.

I mean that if its a A+ certified techie working for Dell, Alienware,Gate Way, or me, its all done the same way. Each piece of hardware has its certain spot which it sleeps in. What im getting at, is that Alienware or Sony, they arent REALLY builting computers differently. Its all the same crap they are ALL buying from Intel, or AMD. Then they stamp their sticker on it.

oh sry i didnt read

it's gonna be one hell of a comp, except i don't see why you needed a 6800gt for it (unless you'll be gaming at work :D)

Yea, you definitly could have gotten an equal (if not better) PC from other companies for much less cost. yes, building it would save u tons of money, but i know u said thats not an option.

Alienware does rip u off, but their stuff is generally pretty good.

my friend down the road has an older alienware and its pretty awesome. i like it even though its a 3.4 w/ a 5950 or something. perty nice, but i think alienware got big heads ounce athlon came out w/ 64 bit technology and then their customer service went to hell and so did the company all together. thats why i like voodoo now myself. but cant afford it lol.
