20 pin or 24 pin molex cables from power supplies

I was wondering if power supplies provide both 20 pin as well as 24 pin molex cables.

In particular i was wondering about the power supply that coimes along with the antec sonata. my mobo is a gigabyte 81875 ultra, i think the molex connector is a 20 pin connector(why did they not standardise that in the first place), do you guys think i will have any compatibility issues?

It has a atatchment for the extra 4 pins, so it is a 20pin + the extra 4 pins for the 24.

the sonata comes with a 380 watt PSU, do you think that all antec PSU's are 20 pin molex's and you get the adaptor for the extra 4 pins with all antec PSU's?

Either on is compatible with every mobo. You can use 20 pin PSU with 24 pin mobo (thats what im doing) and you can use a 24-pin PSU with a 20 pin mobo.

It says the same with the 380watt one btw. Call the place where you are going to buy it from and ask there.
